Allan Thompson campaign launch garners positive media coverage across Huron-Bruce

The launch of Allan Thompson’s campaign to become the Liberal Party of Canada candidate in Huron-Bruce received extensive media coverage across the riding, both in print and on radio. And on the national stage, the campaign launch was covered by the Hill Times newspaper, the primary media outlet for news on Parliament Hill.


Allan also posted on YouTube a video of Wednesday’s launch event in Goderich, shot and produced by local videographer George Zoethout: And Goderich photographer Devin Sturgeon captured the launch event through still photography, with some striking drone shots taken from above Allan’s home on Market Street in downtown Goderich:

The Canadian Community News website, a hyper-local news source published by Sandy Lindsay of Southampton, gave the launch extensive coverage on its three area websites, the Saugeen Times, the Kincardine Times and the Walkerton News. The agency published an initial story on Monday, confirming the launch of the campaign: Then an updated story was published on Wednesday, after the launch event from the front porch of Allan’s home in Goderich:

One of the first broadcasters to carry the campaign launch story was Bayshore Broadcasting, which broadcasts through Country 104.9 in Goderich, FM98 The Beach in Saugeen Shores and AM 580 CFOS in Owen Sound. Reporter Fadi Didi went on air with an interview and story on Monday morning:

And fellow Bayshore Broadcasting reporter Peter Jackson attended Wednesday’s launch party and published this report, with embedded interview clips, and the following lead paragraph: “A voice for farmers in Ottawa, and a local role in the federal decision-making process. Those are the pledges on which Allan Thompson is running for the federal Liberal nomination in Huron-Bruce.”
